Field work in Nautanen May 2017

Nautanen is an old copper mine that was abandoned at the beginning on the 20th century without any effort to close and clean up the site.  REXSAC researchers and PhD students visited the site 29-30 May 2017 to map it and to take water samples for studying the pollution levels. The main purpose of the site visit was to plan for a more extensive study of pathways of pollution and to start mapping the multiple uses of the site in a historical perspective.

Participants were Ninis Rosqvist, Dag Avango, Sandra Fischer, Carl Österlin, and Jerker Jarsjö.
