Sami village was affected more than expected by mining

REXSAC researcher Rasmus Kløcker Larsen has been featured in an article in SVT Nyheter, following the publication of new research on the impacts of mining on reindeer herding in Muonio Sámi village.

The study is the first empirical research that has shed light on the impacts of the mining industry on Sami reindeer husbandry. It was conducted in collaboration between the Stockholm Environment Institute, Muonio Sami Village and the Swedish Sami National Association, and shows extensive effects on the Sami village.
