News outlets sharing the story of climate change and how it affects reindeer herds in the Arctic

In Sweden’s Arctic, ice atop snow leaves reindeer starving. Climate change is altering weather patterns here and affecting the herd’s food supply.

The AP article with the above message gained  tremendous reach in December in English-language newspapers and websites, but also in many other languages, like Slovak.

The corresponding video has appeared on hundreds of terrestrial TV broadcasts in Australia, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UAE. It has also appeared on many international broadcasters.

Online, numerous websites have used the story and video, including Bloomberg and CNews in France.

 

And recently Leonardo DiCaprio shared the short video promoting the story on Instagram which saw three million views.
