Memorial University Newfoundland

Memorial University is a comprehensive university located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, with a strategic focus on four issues: Arctic and Northern regions; community, regional and enterprise development; environment, energy and natural resources; and governance and public policy. Memorial is an active member of the University of the Arctic network, with two members on the UArctic board, and recently renewed an academic exchange agreement with UiT-The Arctic University of Norway. Within Memorial, the Department of Geography has several faculty and affiliated researchers examining questions of Arctic community sustainability, environmental change, and resource development.
