Arctic Environmental Humanities Workshop Series: Sverker Sörlin

September 23rd, 2020

REXSAC researcher Sverker Sörlin will give the second talk in the Arctic Environmental Humanities Workshop Series on September 29 at 11:oo am EDT (5 pm CET).

The talk titled “Why We Should Develop Arctic Humanities” will explore how the humanities can articulate the desire for a stronger presence in polar research and, despite some progress (mostly limited to certain disciplines), illustrate how we have not yet reached as far as we can.

The Pardee Center and the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge are co-hosting the Arctic Environmental Humanities Workshop Series, bringing together the diverse expertise of humanistic scholars, artists, and researchers for a series of virtual presentations and conversations about Arctic issues.

Events will take place virtually and are free and open to the public. You can register here.
