New grant will enable mine impacts report to amplify stakeholder reach

REXSAC researchers Rebecca Lawrence (SU) and Rasmus Kløcker Larsen (SEI) have received a new Formas grant. This grant will allow further communication of the results of a report on a community based impact assessment (CBIA) involving the proposed Boliden Laver mine in Älvsbyn, Northern Sweden and how it would affect the Semisjaur Njarg Sámi Community and their reindeer herding.
The grant provides the means to translate the report from Swedish to English as well as communicate and present the report to key stakeholders at crucial seminars, workshops and conferences over the next two years.
This work is aligned with the REXSAC research and will provide new insights to the REXSAC project! Congratulations!
