Nordforsk will be hosting a joint scientific session at the Arctic Science Summit Week on 23-26 March 2021. The online session, titled “Responsible development of the Arctic – opportunities, challenges and pathways to action”, addresses the interlinked climate-change effects of health and environment that strike at the heart of Arctic communities, affecting all socio-economic and social-ecological aspects including different management regimes and traditions of adaptation.

The session invites relevant scientific and indigenous contributions for the promotion of adaptive actions at local and regional levels of the Arctic. Each lead author may submit one abstract for an oral presentation and one abstract for an e-poster.

The conference topic ”The Arctic: Regional Change Global Impacts” is partitioned into eight themes, each comprising of several sessions. The NordForsk joint session of the four Nordic Centers of Excellence can be found under the theme “Living in the Arctic” as ID32 “Responsible development of the Arctic – opportunities, challenges and pathways to action”.
